UDHAMPUR, Mar 25: Up in arms against unprecedented delay in up-gradation of Jib Thathi road, the locals of Jib Thathi held a strong protest demonstration, which was joined by Panthers Party activists and Sarpanches of the area.
The protesting people raised slogans against R&B Division Udhampur and also submitted a memorandum to Superintending Engineer PWD (R&B), Circle Udhampur pressing for their demand.
The demonstration was addressed by Sarpanch Hoshiar Singh, Sarpanch Rakesh Sharma, Sarpanch Subash Singh and Sarpanch Meem Singh who lamented that upgradation of Jib Thathi road was sanction in the year 2013-14 under NABARD but the work was not completed for the reasons best known to the R&B Department. They also threatened to launch an agitation if the sanctioned work is not completed immediately.
