SAMBA, July 6: The residents of Ward No.1 and 2 of village Badhori under Police Station, Bari Brahmana today protested in front of PHE Office Bari Brahmana against water scarcity.
The protestors alleged that the area is facing acute scarcity of water for last fortnight as the tube well has developed a snag.
Raising slogans against the Department, the protestors said that no attention has been paid by the Department towards them till date despite their repeated requests and now they have been forced to resort to protest.
They further warned the administration to take stern action in this regard failing which they will be forced to block the National Highway in the coming days .AEE PHE, Department, Bari Brahmana assured the people that the issue will be addressed on priority on whose assurance the protestors dispersed.
The protest was led by Rikhil Singh and others who addressed the demonstrators included Rajesh Pal Singh, Jai Pal Singh and Sham Singh.
