JAMMU, Dec 18: The residents of Durga Nagar, Sector 1 and Sector 2, Dogra Nagar, Roop Nagar, Lower Roop Nagar and Suriya Vihar held a joint protest demonstration today against the snapping of power supply from this morning.
The protest was also held by the inmates of Jagti township today against the snapping of the power supply in the area.
The protestors said that the power supply has hampered the water supply as well and in case immediate steps were not taken by the authorities the situation will aggravate and turn into crisis.
The protestors at Jagti said that the entire water supply has been hampered in the township after power cut and emergency services have also been affected. The protestors at Durga Nagar, Roop Nagar and Jagti have sought immediate intervention of Government in settling the issue so that the people are not put to more hardships.
The protest at Durga Nagar was led by Roshan Lal Raina and Sanjay Ganjoo.
