HIRANAGAR, June 24: For making Urdu as mandatory in Naib Tehsildar selection post, the residents of Hiranagar border took out protest demonstration against the National Conference Government.
During the protest, protestors also burnt the effigies of Dr Farooq Abdullah.
They raise slogans against the National Conference Government.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP leader Ravi Sarma and Gagan Kumar widely crticized the National Conference to start discrimination with Jammu people and make Urdu language mandatory for Naib Tehsildar post.
“The National Conference is working on Kashmir based politics and giving the benefits to only Kashmir people. Urdu is not taught in Jammu province, Hindi and English is taught in Jammu province schools. Then why the NC Government is playing games with the people of Jammu,” he said.
“Even after abrogation of 370 and implementing of all laws of Central Government, Urdu does not exist anywhere,” they added.
People urged the government to withdraw such out dated order, otherwise the youth will come on the roads.
