JAMMU, Sept 8: Hundreds of people held protest against the killings of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
Large number of Muslim community members assembled near CPO chowk here and held protest against the atrocities over Rohingya Muslims. They raised slogans against the Myanmar Government and sought justice for them.

Meanwhile, after the culmination of Friday prayers, hundreds of people including children held anti-Myanmar demonstrations in different areas of Kishtwar and Doda districts including Thathri, Gandoh, Kahara, Gowari and Jakyas. During demonstration, the shops also remained closed.
Shouting slogans in favour of Rohingya Muslims and against the Myanmar Government, the demonstrators urged the international community to break their silence over the ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims and ensure their safety. The protestors later dispersed peacefully.
The people also held protest in Budhal and Thannamandi areas of district Rajouri and Mendhar area of Poonch district seeking justice for Muslims who are facing atrocities and persecution by Myanmar military.
People from all walks of life while condemning the killing of innocent civilians, children and women by Myanmar military joined the protests.
Heavy police force was deployed at the protesting sites to thwart any untoward incident.
