JAMMU, Aug 30: Residents of various localities of Jammu have demanded enforcement weekend lockdown in toto. Talking to this reporter a cross section of people in Jammu said that many fast food junctions remain open during the lockdown period while some keep their half shutters open exposing themselves as well as others to the risk especially when the cases of COVID Pandemic are on increase.
These residents have made an appeal to administration to enforce the lockdown in letter and spirit by maintaining a proper check on the fast food and other shops where people during the lockdown period upto late hours have been seen boozing and enjoying food etc. They said otherwise there is no fun of week end lockdown when huge gatherings remain around these junctions exposing themselves and others to heavy risk.
They said Government needs to take extra precautions in view of the increasing COVID Pandemic cases in Jammu and ensure that week end lockdown in not violated in any way.
