JAMMU, Dec 20: BJP Prabhari for Doda and chairman Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Baldev Singh Billawaria today said that large participation of people in BJP rallies in Doda district during recent campaigning for DDC elections is a testimony to the fact that people in UT are happy with the decision of abrogation of controversial Articles of 370 and 35-A.
Talking to reporters here today, he said during the campaigning launched by national leaders of the party including national general secretary, Tarun Chugh and former Union Minister and party’s national spokesperson, Shahnawaz Hussain and BJP J&K general secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul a large number of people drawn from different parts of district used to attend these rallies and listen them with keen attention.
He said people of the district deserve praise for peaceful conduct of elections which were held for the first time in J&K.
He said people have totally rejected the Gupkar Alliance and appreciated the pro people steps of Modi Government like providing Free Gas Cylinders, construction of toilets, Jan Dhan Yojna, direct transfer of money in the accounts of farmers, Mudra Yojna etc. Reaching such benefits to the people in far-flung and inaccessible areas of Doda has widely been applauded and appreciated by the people, he added.
Billawaria also said that people have fully realized that for good governance there is no alternative to BJP. Modi Government he said, believes in Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas and never differentiated on the basis of caste, creed or religion, he added.
