RAMNAGAR, July 13: For discussing law and order situation in Ramnagar, a general meeting of people hailing from various political parties, non-political groups, intellectuals and civil society was convened here today under the chairmanship of Virinder Singh, general secretary of Block Congress Ramnagar.
The meeting was called particularly in the wake of attempts of a few vested interests to scuttle process of investigation in blind murder of Sansar Chand, son of Mansa Ram of Raslithukrai, tehsil Ramnagar. The meet also drew attention towards some other criminal cases awaiting police action and investigation.
Later a memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister through Police Station Ramnagar seeking a detailed fact-finding inquiry and investigation into the entire incident and bringing the guilty to book.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting, included Virinder Singh, Jagmohan Singh Sarpanch, Pardip Gupta, Balwan Singh, Rakesh Chander Sharma, Vinu Jamwal, Rahul, Swaran Singh, Ritin Sethi, Govind Atri, Shamsher Singh, Tilak Raj, Jagmohan, Tarun Sethi, Raghuvir Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Sarpanchs, Panchs, ex-servicemen, and several other people of the area.
