Pensioners, Senior Citizens Welfare Society hold convention

SRINAGAR, Sept 24: A one day convention of State Pensioners and Citizens Welfare Society was held here, today in which the various issues came up for discussion.
The meeting highlighted the various problems being faced by the working class who is hard pressed under the burden of price hike.
The meeting, which was chaired by Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani while highlighting the problems of the working class, pensioners, daily rated workers and casual laborers said that these people are unable to make their both ends meet due to sky rocketing prices of essential commodities.
The meeting held the imperialist powers responsible for the problems being faced by the working class and said that for maintaining their hegemony these powers are responsible for the present conflict between various nations of the world. They said the problems across various nations of the world are creation of these imperialist powers who want keep them divided for their own interests and maintain monopoly.
The crisis in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Burma, Iraq, Syria and other nations is the game-plan of these powers only. Even the present Indo-Pak conflict is the creation of these powers who don’t want these two nations to progress. They held the imperialist powers responsible for migration of Rohingya Muslims from Burma and committing of atrocities on them.
The meeting, while reacting over recent statement of BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav that Government is ready for unconditional dialogue with people in Kashmir including separatists said though belated it is a good decision. The meeting appealed people of Valley to come forward in restoration of peace and make the dialogue process a success if the Government is really sincere for the same. The meeting said the dialogue is the only solution to all vexed problems.
Haji G M Mir, Mohd Subhan Dar, Sheikh Gh. Mohi-ud-Din Shilwati, Gh. Rasool Lone,  G M Parey, Noor Mohd Katjoo, Ab Rehman Hajam, Abdul Razak Dar, Ali Mohammed Malla, Ghulam Mohd Khan etc were among other speakers in the convention.
