JAMMU, Feb 20: State Pensioners and family pensioners who have been asked to file life certificate by February 25, 2015 onwards shall not be disbursed have called upon concerned authorities of Finance Department (FD) to clarify whether this is being done in place of annual physical verification done by the Treasury Officers in order to save the pensioners, most of whom are aged and infirm, from the agonizing ordeal of obtaining PPOs from the bank branches.
Krishan Singh, president of SPA has urged Governor’s administration to pay 4th Annual installment of 6th CPC arrears payable from April 2014, release two pending DA installment @ 10 and 7% due from January and July 2014 respectively. He also demanded enhancement of monthly Medical Allowance from paltry Rs 300 to 1000.
The Association has asked to simplify the procedure of verification for the pensioners.
