KATHUA, Nov 12: A meeting of Pensioners Welfare Association district Kathua was held here, today under the chairmanship of Dilsher Singh, general secretary of the Association.
Addressing the meeting, Amar Naht Dogra president of the Association made an appeal to the Governor to enhance Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month in favour of employees and pensioners.
He also demanded that the old practice of moving Secretariat from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa be stopped to save state exchequer from huge loss.
Addressing the meeting S Tara Singh demanded filling up of vacant posts in various departments and he urged the Secretary SSRB to release the selection list of the candidates.
