KATHUA, Aug 6: Commissioner Secretary Rural Development, Farooq Ahmed Peer today held an interactive session with the Community Mobilisers and Women activists and reviewed the implementation of National Rural Livelihood Mission at Basohli today.
MLA Basohli, Jagdish Raj Spolia, District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Jatinder K Singh, Director Rural Development, Shafiq Ahmed Raina and other officers of Rural Development Department were present on the occasion.
During the course of interaction with a group of 45 women activists and community mobilizes, Mr Peer exhorted upon them to disseminate the awareness amongst the masses about different schemes and programmes especially designed to uplift their economic position as well as to achieve the status of self reliant.
He also called upon them to sensitize more men and women folks to achieve the real motive of the scheme which is aimed at to improve the socio-economic status of the rural people.
