JAMMU, Jan 27: In a proud moment for Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, a study from the Department of Pediatric Surgery has won the Best Paper Award at the National Conference of Pediatric Endoscopic Surgeons of India Conference (PESICON-26) held at AIIMS, New Delhi.
The award winning study, titled “Laparoscopic Ovary-Sparing Surgery for Pediatric Tumors,” was conducted and presented by Dr Saalim Nazki, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, SMGS Hospital, GMC Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nazki said it was a matter of great pride and prestige for our Institution as this award winning procedure is performed by handful of institutions in the country.
Dr Nazki also highlighted constant support and encouragement by Dr Ashutosh Gupta (Principal GMC Jammu) and Dr Dara Singh, (Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital).
