JAMMU, Dec 8: A 24-year-old youth sustained severe injuries after he was hit by a rashly driven vehicle outside Bahu Fort Police Station this evening.
Amit, whose parentage and residential details were not known by the presstime, was waiting for a matador outside the police station when a rashly driven vehicle (JK02DJ-3612) hit him and two other vehicles (JK02AE-6080 and JK02B-2682), resulting in injuries to several individuals, said a police official.
He said Amit, who received severe injuries in the accident, was immediately taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical.
While the unidentified driver of the over-speeding vehicle was at large at the time of filing of this news, Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Bahu Fort and started further investigation into the matter.
