DODA, July 25: Thathri Police arrested a pedestrian along with opium and poppy straw.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Thathri led by PSI Rahul Verma under the supervision of SHO Thathri Inspector Amrit Katoch and SDPO Bhaderwah Abdul Ghafoor laid a naka intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 8 grams opium and 405 grams poppy straw from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Vinay Kumar, son of Nanak Chand of District.
A case under FIR Number 83/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered against the arrested person at Police Station Thathri and investigation started.
The arrest of accused person and recovery of narcotic substances were made.
