UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: A mentally challenged man was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle at Mand, opposite petrol pump on the National Highway, here today.
According to the police report, a rashly driven unidentified as vehicle hit the victim, who was walking on the roadside. Some locals and police rushed the injured person to PHC Tikri where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Saleem Tandiyal (45) son of Ab Aziz Tandiyal of Girda Nawah, Nowshera Baramulla.
Rehambal police have registered a case in this connection.
