JAMMU, May 25: A pedestrian was today hit to death by a truck in Jhajjar Kotli area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a truck bearing registration number JK03E-4949 driven by Shafiq Ahmed Bhat son of Bashir Ahmed Bhat, resident of Lower Munda, tehsil Doru, district Anantnag, at Jhajjar Kotli bridge hit one pedestrian namely Angrez Singh (20) son of Faquir Singh, resident of Balohote (Ramban), resulting into his on the spot death.
In this connection, a case FIR No 60/2016 under Sections 279/304A RPC was registered and investigation started while the accused truck driver was also arrested.
