SAMBA, Nov 22: A female pedestrian was injured in road mishap when a scooty hit her at Amala Pangwal area of Samba today. The injured pedestrian has been identified as Satya Devi, 60 wife of Kala resident of Amala Pangwal Samba.
According to the police, the mishap occurred at Samba Sumb road near Amala Pangwal when a scooty bearing registration No JK14D- 9686 hit her, as the result she received critical injuries and was shifted to District Hospital Samba with the help of locals where from doctors refered her to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for specialized treatment.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
Meanwhile, a youth consumed poison under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Samba today. He has been identified as Keertan Bhagat, 20, son of Natha Ram residing at Family Quarters in District Hospital Samba. Seeing him in an unconscious state, the family shifted him to District Hospital, Samba for treatment.
The Samba Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
