Pedestrian held with heroin

UDHAMPUR, Nov 24: Rehambal Police has arrested a pedestrian with over 5 gram heroin.
A police team from Police Station Rehambal, conducting traffic checking at Phalata Chowk on the National Highway, intercepted a pedestrian traveling from Tikri towards Garhi.
During questioning and frisking, the individual was identified as Aftab Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Chopra Shop, Udhampur. Police recovered 5.95 grams of heroin from his possession.
Following the recovery, FIR Number 196/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Rehambal. Officials said that further investigation is in progress.
