RAMBAN, Apr 11: Police here today arrested a drug peddler from Ukhral area of Ramsoo and recovered 3.9 grams of contraband (heroin) from his possession.
On the directions of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh, cops from Police Post Ukhral during a Naka intercepted a pedestrian who tried to flee but cops overpowered him and during search recovered 3.09 grams of heroin after which he was arrested.
The accused has been identified as Surjeet Singh, son of Mangat Ram, resident of Chapran, Tehsil Ukhral, District Ramban.
Police has registered a case in this regard in FIR No. 14 of 2025 under Section 08/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Ramsoo and started investigation.
