JAMMU, May 21: Describing the remarks of Power Minister Piyush Goyal regarding J&K Government’s demand for return of power projects as a setback to the State, PCC chief GA Mir has said that it was the result of politics of exploitation and treachery on the part of PDP.
Addressing a largely attended public meeting at Kund (Qazigund) in district Kulgam today, PCC chief said that the refusal by Union Power Minister is a real set back to the State. “It has exposed the political drama being staged by PDP with regard to return of Power projects to the State”, he added.
He said it has become a habit of the PDP to mislead and betray the people on certain issues like revocation of AFSPA, the just refused return of Power projects and other issues concerning State.
Seeking explanation from PDP over the issue, PCC chief said that Minister’s statement was the result of blatant lies and political gimmicks of Coalition Govt led by PDP and indicative of its complete failure. Taking a dig at Chief Minister over the silence being maintained by her, Mir said that in order to further the political ambitions PDP leadership has surrendered the genuine demands. ” What is Mehbooba Mufti doing in the CM’s chair when her demands are being rejected ? Where is the agenda of alliance on which PDP is playing a lot of politics aiming to mislead the people, for the sake of power?” PCC chief questioned.
