Kishtwar, Jan 22: Like in other parts of the State, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held a protest at Kishtwar also under the leadership of State secretary and MLC Syed Asgar Ali highlighting the various local issues.
The protesters assembled near Dak Banglow Kishtwar and after passing through Shaheedi Road, they staged a sit-on outside DC office and blocked the main road for more than two hours.
While addressing the gathering, Syed Asagar Ali launched scathing attack on newly inducted MoS for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo for directing police to disrupt the peaceful and democratic protest of PDP.
He warned that PDP will not allow any company to execute construction work on 6 identified power projects including 890 MW Rattle and 1000 MW Pakal-Dool power projects in case the local youths were ignored in jobs.
Other who also addresses the gathering included Farooq Ahmed Siddiqui, Ashok Kumar Sen, Ishtaq Ahmed Waza, Suresh Sharma, Surjeet Singh Thankur, Chowdhary Rehmat Ali etc.
