JAMMU, Sept 16: PDP leader Kuljeet Singh Jamwal today said that PDP is a people and development friendly party and this was demonstrated during the short tenure in power and it brought tremendous changes in the State through its people friendly policies.
He said during the rule of PDP full attention was paid for the equal development of all three regions and there was no question of discrimination against any region and people during the rule of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed realised a dramatic change in the State environment and peace and development returned to the State after a turmoil of about 20 years.
He said under the visionary leadership of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed people saw a dramatic change in the State. During this period tourists started returning to Kashmir valley and an era of development started. The then Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh showered accolades on Mufti Mohammed Sayeed for his visionary leadership and sanctioned special package for the development of the State, he added.
