Srinagar, May 14:The members of Legislative Council belonging to People’s Democratic Party have decided to contribute an amount of Rs 30 lakh out of their Constituency Development Fund for providing aid to the earthquake victims.
Stating this here today, the chief spokesperson of the party Naeem Akhtar said the token amount would be specifically offered to the most poor quake victims in the erstwhile Doda district to help them to pick up threads of life again.
He said the re-occurrence of tremors has aggravated fear among the residents of Chenab region and most of them have been forced to live out of their unsafe and shaken homes.
