JAMMU, Jan 30: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Raja Manzoor Ahmad today staged walkout after his question could not be taken up in the Legislative Assembly.
While pointing towards the watch, the PDP MLA was making request to the Speaker Kavinder Gupta for immediately allowing his question pertaining to construction of mini-sports stadium at Luntha Tangdar.
However, the question could not be listed for paucity of time and this irritated PDP MLA, who staged walkout in protest.
Earlier, soon after the House assembled National Conference MLA from Mendhar Javed Rana displayed a banner reading “declare Mendhar Sub-Division as drought hit area”.
He said that 95% water sources in Mendhar have gone dry resulting into acute shortage of drinking water. “Special team should be deputed to assess the reasons behind water sources turning dry”, he said while seeking intervention of Minister Incharge PHE.
