SRINAGAR, Nov 5: Recalling the contribution of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in setting new benchmarks of introspection, accountability & justice in the system, the party today asked its workers to revive the tradition and save Kashmiri society from degeneration and impending disaster.
Addressing a meeting of senior Party leaders, Ministers, district and  zonal presidents of Central Kashmir here today, PDP general secretary Sartaj Madni said in present crucial times, the people will have to stay strong and allow the party to deliver again as it has done in past.
He said that today “we have certain negative elements that are prowling on everything, burning schools, damaging the infrastructure, and making people’s lives miserable. Sadly, their sponsors and sympathisers don’t have the moral conviction and standing to speak against the abominable acts that these ill-wishers of Kashmiris have unleashed”.
Speaking on the occasion, senior party leader, Nizamudin Bhat said that while “we lay onus on society and its conscientious class to make an appraisal of four month prolonged unrest we the inheritors of an ideology are also ready to stand in dock.  “We should at this critical juncture of history stand up to maintain tradition of self-introspection and play a positive role”.
