JAMMU, July 17: Condemning recent cease fire violations by Pakistani troops along International Border (IB) in Arnia sector, People’s Democratic Party today urged State Government as well as Government of India (GoI) to resolve the issue at an earliest.
Addressing a press conference at party office Bishnah, PDP candidate for Bishnah Assembly segment, F C Bhagat said that both the Governments have failed to resolve the issue since last many years.
“Pakistani troops continuously violating cease fire and targeting civilian areas”, he said.
Bhagat added that this time Pakistan also targeted civilians and the framers who are working in the fields, which triggers sense of fears among residents. He said that one security personnel killed and seven seriously injured including four civilians who were working in the fields.
He said that Bishanah constituency is already being deprived of development and this type of incident added miseries to their woes of people. “Farmers are already suffering due to unscheduled power cuts and scarcity of water” he said and added that the issue should be resolved at earliest for sake of masses as well as farmers.
