MENDHAR Nov 5: Assailing People’s Democratic Party for its insensitivity and callousness towards border residents former Deputy Chairman Legislative Council and National Conference MLA Javed Rana today wondered over total neglect of those injured by visiting Minister.
“Like Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Minister for Consumer Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali also ignored the hapless victims thus showing scant regard for the people living along Line of Control and International Border”, he said, adding “We hope this is not the official policy of PDP to abandon people in distress, be it in Kashmir or the Jammu region.”
The MLA Mendhar, who was expecting the CAPD Minister to undo the insult done to injured and their families yesterday at Bhimber Gali, when the Chief Minister didn’t turn up despite the victims being made to wait by the administration for hours together, expressed shock and dismay at the indifference and unacceptable attitude of Choudhry Zulfkar.
Javed Rana expressed solidarity with the border residents, saying they should not feel alone at this hour of crisis. “We share their miseries and agonies”, he said, adding that the PDP-BJP Government will be made accountable for its actions, especially indifference towards the suffering border dwellers.
