PDD not implementing recruitment rules for ITI trained: PEEU

HIRANAGAR, May 6: Provincial Electric Employees Union (PEEU) in a meeting here today while discussing their demands expressed concern over the failure of Government in implementing the recruitment rules of 1981 meant for ITI trained workers in PDD.
The meeting which was chaired by the unit president of the Union Haridarshan Singh was also addressed by its provincial president PC Sharma. It said the ITI trained employees are meant for handling the technical jobs but it is an irony with the department that neither it assigns technical jobs to these employees nor it releases technical grades in their favour.
P C Sharma, while addressing said that in other departments the technical grades and assignments are given to ITI trained employees but this practice has not been adopted in PDD.
It demanded release of Risk Allowance, pay revision for ITI trained employees by creating posts for the same, amendment is service recruitment rules, releasing technical grades for ITI employees, increasing promotion quota, regularization of daily wagers with retrospective effect and insurance cover to PDD employees.
