PCC (I) president Tariq Hamid Karra has also requested Congress general secretary Incharge Jammu and Kashmir Naseer Hussain to join tomorrow’s meeting which is scheduled to be held at 12 noon.
Party sources said the Congress will like the National Conference to clear the position on three candidates announced by it for the Rajya Sabha elections yesterday.
The Congress is not aware on which three notifications the NC will field its three candidates, the Congress leaders said, adding they have made it clear that they want one safe seat to contest and not the losing fourth seat which is sure to go to the BJP.
They said the Congress leaders will finalize their strategy for the forthcoming polls to four Rajya Sabha seats.
Congress had sought support of the ruling National Conference in the election to one of the three seats.
National Conference on Friday named candidates for only three Rajya Sabha seats, saying that it has left one seat open as talks with Congress were going on.
The Rajya Sabha polls are scheduled to be held on October 24 while October 13 is last date for finalization of nomination papers.
Congress sources said the party meeting will also deliberate on its stand on by-polls to the Budgam and Nagrota Assembly segments, where voting will be held on November 11.
