PC committed to create space for youth: Vakil

SOPORE, July 16: Senior vice president of J&K Peoples Conference and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil has said that Peoples Conference is committed to create space for the youth to take the mantle of responsibility to become partners in the decision-making process and shape a brighter future for the coming generations.
Addressing a youth convention of the party at Sopore, Vakil said that active and meaningful participation of the youth is imperative to address the challenges that have an impact on them and their future. He said J-K politics needs new ideas and energy, and the need of the hour is for the youth of J&K to stand with the Peoples Conference and its president Sajad Gani Lone.
Coming down hard on the current bureaucratic regime in Jammu and Kashmir he said that the LG regime promised to provide employment to thousands of unemployed youth, but those claims have remained headlines in newspapers, and nothing concrete has been done for the youth of J&K. “It is not in the interest of the country or Jammu and Kashmir to renege on the promises made to the youth. Central Government must come up with a concrete job policy for the unemployed youth so that they don’t suffer anymore,” he added.
