UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: To fulfill the long pending demand of ration depot, Minister of State Finance and Information Technology Pawan Gupta has inaugurated the extension counter of ration depot in Jib, Majalta.
On the occasion, a function was organized by the Sarpanch of Jib Panchayat Madan Lal, which was attended by people including women. TSO Udhampur was also present.
While speaking, MoS Pawan Gupta said that during Assembly election he promised to voters especially female folk that distribution of food grains in ration depots will be made effective by avoiding inconvenience to the public and in this regard an extension counter of existing ration depot has been opened in Jib Majalta.
He instructed TSO Udhampur and ration depot owner to distribute ration in full scale of 35 kg per family. Pawan Gupta also asked the people that if they will get less quantity of ration, intimate him telephonically and necessary action will be taken against the concerned.
The function was also addressed by Raj Kumar Bucha, Raj Muhammad Chandail, Rohit Sethi, besides many others.
