UDHAMPUR, Apr 8: MLA Udhampur Assembly Constituency Pawan Gupta today inaugurated a culvert at Ashram on Kaller Mohalla to Thather Nallia road in Cambel Danga Panchayat.
The culvert was constructed by Rural Development Department with a cost of Rs 7.15 lakh.
While speaking on the occasion, Pawan Gupta said that he is committed for historic development of his constituency particularly Jib Thathi area. He disclosed that the construction of Jib Thathi road is in progress and the road is being widen upto 4.5 meter with an estimate cost of Rs 13 crores while construction of several other link roads are also under way.
He said that after the completion of all the roads of Jib Thathi area, people will get relief from various problems. He said it is unfortunate Jammu Province is still facing discrimination in the hands of Kashmir centric leadership even when BJP is sharing power with PDP in State Government.
He criticized BJP leaders to keep mum on anti-Jammu policies of PDP. He further said that BJP is totally exposed for becoming puppet of PDP. He challenged BJP ministers for a face to face conversation on any news channel.
Earlier, a senior citizen of village namely Ashiq Ali, said that it is a matter of satisfaction and relief that MLA Pawan Gupta has fulfilled his election commitment by providing a large number of electric poles and constructing and widening many roads. He also demanded MLA to get constructed a link road from Thather Nallia road to Jib area, besides installation of a hand pump in village Moungerly.
