UDHAMPUR, Apr 16: Taking a significant step towards the infrastructural development of Udhampur constituency, MLA Udhampur West, Pawan Kumar Gupta today kick started the blacktopping and construction work of a 1.75-kilometre-long road from Sundrani to Dhannu via Namble and Thowal Modha. The commencement of this road project is expected to provide a major boost to connectivity and ease of travel for the local residents.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta emphasized that providing basic amenities such as roads, electricity, and water to every village remains his topmost priority. He added that this road will not only connect remote villages to major routes but will also contribute to the socio-economic upliftment of the area.
A large number of villagers, local representatives, and departmental officials were present on the occasion. The local residents expressed gratitude to the MLA for fulfilling their long-pending demand and appreciated his commitment to rural development.
Gupta directed the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of the work with strict adherence to quality standards. He reiterated his commitment to accelerating the pace of development across the constituency and assured that all pending projects would be addressed on a priority basis.
