Kindly refer the news item, Empowering Patwaris as school inspectors, DE Apr 13. This step and direction of SDM Mahore is ridiculous and offends the principles of natural justice.
I believe that a person holding the important position of SDM level must act with open and judicious mind so that employees may function effectively and without any suffocation. Without proper understanding and appreciation of the role of a teacher, it would hardly be possible to deliver their best. It may be true that some teachers may abstain from their legitimate duties, but it is not fair to treat whole teaching fraternity by such a frivolous order. It is, unfortunate, that the role of the teachers is being increasingly undermined and the institution of the teaching (Gurukul) and the ideals it once represented are being rapidly eroded.
It is in the interest of society and administration that Order No. SDM/M/2018-19/54 Dated 10/04/2018 may immediately be revoked and set aside in the interest of principles of natural justice. It will serve the purpose of justice, fair play and good administration. Besides, sagging morale of teaching community may be boosted.
