Patwar Association’s strike enters 37th day

JAMMU, May 14: On the 37th day of their indefinite strike the Patwar Association held protest demonstration at tehsil headquarters here under the chairmanship of Raman Raj Sharma, provincial president.
While addressing provincial president, Raman Raj Sharma, cautioned the cadre to remain united and vigilant to fight for the common cause so that their just and genuine demands were accepted by the Government.
He reiterated that strike will continue till their demands were addressed by the authorities at the helm of affairs and a formal order issued by the Government.
They are demanding removal of pay anomalies, stoppage of direct recruitment of Naib Tehsildar, establishment of Government inquiry cell, enhancement of PSC examination chances from four to eight, a transparent transfer policy, reorganization of Patwar Halqas, construction of Patwarkhannas and enhancement in their Sair Kharcha and other allowances.
