JAMMU, Aug 14: Patriotic songs and dances marked the celebration of the 65th Independence Day across the State.
KC International School celebrated 65th Independence Day with grandeur and patriotic fervour. On the occasion, Sanjeev Verma, Deputy Commissioner was the chief guest, who hoisted the National Flag in presence of Chaitanya Chowdhary, Vice Chairman, parents, teachers and students were also present.
65th Independence Day was celebrated at GD Goenka Public School with great fervour and enthusiasm. Principal Poonam Jha, students, teachers and parents paid homage to martyrs of the freedom struggle and recalled their sacrifices.
On the eve of 65th Independence Day, Heritage School was brimming with patriotic spirit. Students presented various cultural programme to commemorate the day. An Inter House Dance competition was held in which four houses, highlighting the richness of the cultural heritage.
Delhi Public School, Jammu organised a special assembly to celebrate 65th Independence Day. Students from various classes presented variety of programme to exhibit their innate emotions towards the nation.
Model Academy and Humming Buds celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. On the occasion, Darwin House won the Inter House Patriotic Song competition while Edison House bagged the Inter House Dance Competition trophy.

65th Independence Day was celebrated at JK Montessorie School, Talab Tillo. A colourful programme in which students enacted scenes from historical themes symbolizing unity and song was appreciated by one and all.

DRS-Kids, Trikuta Nagar celebrated Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm. Supinder Kour, Principal hoisted the National Flag, which was followed by singing of national anthem by young scholars.
