Patriotic fervor marks Tiranga rallies across J&K

JAMMU, Aug 13: In commemoration of Independence Day falling on August 15, the Tiranga rallies and other patriotic programmes continued to be held across J&K today with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.
BJP Jammu & Kashmir held Tiranga Yatras across Jammu & Kashmir to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and national unity.
J&K BJP president Sat Sharma today participated in a series of spirited Tiranga Yatras held at Ramgarh in district Samba and in Jammu city, celebrating the national spirit ahead of Independence Day.

In Ramgarh, the Tiranga Rally witnessed overwhelming public participation and was marked by an atmosphere of patriotic fervor. Sat Sharma was accompanied by BJP vice-president, Rashpaul Verma, MLA Ramgarh, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, DDC Chairperson, Keshav Dutt Sharma, DDC Sarbjit Singh Johal, district president, Asha Rani, Brijeshwar Singh Rana, and other senior leaders and activists.
Later in Jammu, Sat Sharma joined a grand Tiranga Rally from Shivaji Chowk to Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Nanak Nagar. He was accompanied by BJP general secretaries, Sanjita Dogra and Gopal Mahajan, MLAs Ch. Vikram Randhawa and Balwant Singh Mankotia, former MLC, Charanjit Singh Khalsa, Mahila Morcha president, Neha Mahajan, along with Vinay Mahajan, Shailja Gupta, Prerna Nanda, Urvashi Gupta, Neena Gupta, Sunita Gupta, Lavisha Gupta and others.
A grand Tiranga Yatra was organized today from Om Palace Shakti Nagar to Bhagwati Chowk as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
The rally was led by Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma and MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta, attracting hundreds of participants, including local residents, youth, and party workers, all marching with patriotic fervour.
Carrying a spectacular 300-foot-long National Flag, participants filled the streets with vibrant colors and patriotic chants, inspiring onlookers to take pride in the nation and its heritage.
As part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, MLA Surinder Kumar today participated in grand Tiranga rallies organized in Marh Mandal, Mandal Gho Manhasa and Mandal Phalain within the Marh Assembly constituency. The rallies were filled with patriotic slogans and the National Flag, symbolizing the participants’ love for their country.
Vibrant and massive Tiranga rallies were organized today at Batote and Ukhral under the leadership of Neelam Langeh, former MLA and district president of BJP Ramban.
Both the rallies, held as part of nationwide patriotic celebrations, witnessed overwhelming participation from locals, party workers, and students, all carrying the Tricolor high with pride.
The procession showcased the spirit of unity and nationalism, with enthusiastic participants raising slogans of Jai Hind, Bharat Mata Ki Jai, and Vande Mataram.
In Tiranga Rally from New Plot to Kachi Chawni, Sat Sharma was accompanied by vice-president, Priya Sethi, MLA Yudhvir Sethi, district president, Rajesh Gupta and others.
In Gole Market, Tiranga Yatra was led by BJP general secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, BJP national secretary and MLA, Dr. Narinder Singh, MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa, vice-president, Rekha Mahajan, senior leader, Aseem Gupta, district president, Naresh Singh Jasrotia and others.
At Janipur Tiranga rally was taken out from Main Chowk to Dream Land School in which a large number of party activists participated. The rally was led by party general secretary Sangita Dogra and secretary, Pawan Sharma. The enthusiastic party activists with National Flags in their hands were raising slogans ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
Jammu Regional Centre of IGNOU organized a massive Tiranga rally in the wake of “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign foreseeing the 79th Independence Day celebrations. Leader of Opposition, Sunil Sharma, former Deputy Mayor and general secretary of BJP, Baldev Singh Billawaria and Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director, Regional Centre Jammu led the rally. The entire management and staff of the Regional Centre including Assistant Regional Directors, Dr. Asha Upadhyay, Dr. Vikram Singh and Dr. Zeba, Deputy Registrar, Tejinder Pal Singh, Assistant Registrar, Dara Singh were part of the rally. Superintendent of Police (Headquarter), Irshad Rather, DTI, Anil Raina, CRPF personnel from Group Centre Bantalab, NCC cadets, coordinators of LSCs and a number of students were part of the rally.
Dr Sandeep Gupta addressed the gathering highlighting the significance of Har Ghar Tiranga initiative as a reminder of the sacrifices made for India’s freedom.
Jasrota constituency in Kathua district witnessed a surge of patriotism as MLA Rajiv Jasrotia led Tiranga yatras at various locations in Dinga Amb Mandal. The yatras saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, Sarpanchs, Panchayat members, and other dignitaries. The yatras witnessed massive participation from local residents, including students, youth, and senior citizens, who marched through the streets, proudly carrying the National Flag. The event highlighted the significance of Tiranga yatras in J&K, fostering a sense of national unity and pride among citizens.
A mega Tiranga rally was held in Samba. Commencing from the historic Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium and culminating at the Government Higher Secondary School (Boys), Samba, the rally transformed the streets into a living sea of saffron, white, and green – an emblematic procession of unity and devotion to the motherland.
Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Ayushi Sudan, the rally brought together all key stakeholders of the district.
The event, organised under the aegis of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, drew an unprecedented gathering of thousands of citizens, spirited students, NCC cadets, disciplined police contingents, and representatives from every stratum of society .
The Group Centre, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jammu, organised a Tiranga Yatra bike rally today as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The rally commenced at 6:15 a.m. from the CRPF Group Centre campus and proceeded to Barnai Road before returning to the campus. R. Gopala Krishna Rao, Inspector General, Jammu Sector, flagged off the event as the chief guest.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Manoj Kumar Gupta, Deputy Inspector General, Group Centre, CRPF, Jammu. Gazetted officers and other personnel of the Group Centre actively contributed to the rally’s success.
As part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, a Tiranga Rally was organized at Jammu Airport to mark the observance of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign 2025. The rally was led by Brij Mohan Kaul, Airport Director, Jammu, and Sunil Kumar Raghuwanshi, Senior Commandant, CISF. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all airport stakeholders.
Personnel from the Airports Authority of India, CISF, Air India, SpiceJet, Air India Express, IndiGo Airlines, J&K Bank, J&K Police, and other partner organizations actively took part in the rally, proudly carrying the National Flag and expressing their patriotic fervor.
Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu today organized a spirited Tiranga Rally on its Chatha campus to commemorate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and promote the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The rally was led by Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor of the University who proudly carried the National Flag symbolizing unity, pride and patriotism. All statutory officers, faculty members, non-teaching staff and University employees enthusiastically joined the march creating a vibrant sea of Tricolour across the campus.
In a colourful and spirited display of patriotism, Government Degree College (GDC) Darhal today reverberated with chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram as it hosted a grand Tiranga Rally within the campus. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and staff of the college, as well as from nearby schools, alongside personnel from the police and CRPF, creating an inspiring atmosphere of unity and national pride.
The rally, a prelude to the Independence Day celebrations, was jointly organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) units of the college. It was spearheaded by NSS coordinator, Dr. Mohd Akhlaq and NCC Officer Dr. Anzar Ahmed.
An impressive Tiranga Rally was taken out under the programme “Har Ghar Tiranga, Ghar, Ghar Tiranga today. The rally was started from Neha Public School under the chairmanship of Avtar Singh Chairman, Welfare and Development Committee Mishriwala. It went around Mishriwala main market and terminated at Shaheed Grewal Shaheedi Smark Mishriwala. It was attended by the prominent personalities of the area including president, Bhartiya Kissan Union, Devi Dutta and many others.
Government Degree College, Reasi celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor today. Beginning the day with a spirited Tiranga Rally within the college campus in which students, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, faculty members, and staff participated enthusiastically, carrying the National Flag and raising slogans to honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters. The rally, led under the supervision of college staff, infused the air with the spirit of unity and pride.
In the evening, the celebrations continued with a vibrant cultural programme organised by the Cultural Committee in collaboration with the NCC Unit of the college, under the patronage of Officiating Principal, Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri.
In celebration of Independence Day and as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme, Government Degree College Vijaypur organized a vibrant “selfie with Tiranga” activity.
Students, faculty, and staff enthusiastically participated by taking selfies with the National Flag, showcasing their patriotism and commitment to the spirit of a progressive and united India. The initiative aimed to instill a sense of national pride and civic responsibility among the youth, while also strengthening their emotional connection with the Tricolor.
A vibrant Tiranga Rally was organized by Kheerbhawani Mandal KDD as part of the Prime Minister’s Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan programme. The rally, led by Mandal president, Neha Pandita, commenced from Sarswati Vihar and concluded at Bohri Chungi Chowk.
Hundreds of enthusiastic participants, including former corporator Ward No.61 and BJP leader, Mohinder Bhagat, prominent BJP karyakartas, R.L.Kaith, L.K.Bhagat, local residents, students, and dignitaries, joined the rally, waving Tricolor flags and chanting patriotic slogans like Jai Hind, Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram.
A grand Tiranga Rally on bikes was organised by BJP at Padshai Bagh, Bijbehara under the leadership of district president of the party, Rakesh Kaul. The enthusiastic BJP activists and leaders participated in the rally in large numbers. Carrying Tirangas in their hands they were raising slogans Azad Hindustan Zindabad, Narendra Modi Zindabad.
CRPF 160 Battalion today under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan from its Headquarters, BCS Camp Nagrota, Sainik School Road Jammu to Government Higher Secondary School, Rising Star School, Shanti Niketan Educational Institute, Nagrota and local market took out a motor cycle rally with Tricolour flags in their hands chanting Vande Matram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai. The rally was led by Hariom Khare, Commandant 160 Bn, CRPF. On the occasion Sanjay Kumar Bamola, Second Command Officer, Sandhya Rani and Rana Pratap Singh, Dy Commandants were also present.
District Administration Rajouri organised multiple Tiranga rallies under the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, witnessing massive public participation and cultural fervor. Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma along with Senior Superintendent of Police , Gaurav Sikarwar flagged off a spectacular horse rally from Nanga Thub Kotranka where every rider proudly carried the Tricolour creating an awe-inspiring visual of unity and national pride.
