RAMNAGAR, July 6: After conducting a tour of the Gandh Top, Kalwanta, Chatriari and Majori, R S Pathania, general secretary, Pradesh Youth Congress, has sought a special package for nurturing tourism potential in these areas.
He said that developing tourism will not only accelerate development in the area and afford proper projection to it but at the same time it will boost local employment too. There are places and points in Ramnagar whose beauty and grace mars the choicest of tourist spots in Kashmir and other tourist places. But successive regimes and leaders have done least to tap the vast potential brimming over here.
Pathania said the tourist spots at Tamdyal, Kair Gala, Ponara Shiv Gali, Ponara, Keya, Gandh Top, Pachound, Kot, Siameri, Dudu, are exquisitely beautiful and deserve to be developed as ideal tourist sites.
He sought a package for developing roads of Ramnagar, immediate improvement and black-topping of Ramnagar to Basantgarh and Ramnagar to Dudu roads and provision of Ultra-sound and X-ray facilities in PHC Basantgarh and a fresh CHC at Dudu and allopathic dispensaries for Punara, Mang, Balota Upperla, Charri Bangla and Parla Chakal.
