UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: MLA Udhampur East, Ranbir Singh Pathania here today inspected the out-of-order drinking water pumping systems at Jaganoo Morh, from where water supply is routed to Bredian, Thil, Roun-I, Roun-II, Sountha and adjoining villages.
He was accompanied by the Executive Engineer and AEE of PHE (Civil & Mechanical Wings).
Pathania conducted on-spot surveys of the affected areas and issued immediate directions to ensure that regular water supply is restored within a week so that the residents do not face any further hardships.
He also assured that permanent restoration funds will be made available and a reliable, uninterrupted water supply will be ensured for all these villages.
Pathania reiterated his commitment to provide fresh, clean tap water to every household and instructed that all JJM schemes will be completed through restoration of funds or JJM gap funding as required.
Earlier, the MLA inaugurated macadamisation works from Deot to Upper Bilaspur and similar works at Mahalanga and Sundla.
He also visited District Hospital Udhampur, where he met the injured of the recent mini-bus accident at Dhalpar and instructed hospital authorities to provide the best possible medical care and ensure prompt treatment for all the injured persons.
Pathania was accompanied by Krishan Singh, Madan Singh, Purshotam Gupta, Ashish Sharma (Mandal Pradhan), Mohinder Sharma (Sarpanch), Kuldeep Singh, Parshotam Sharma, Madan Lal, Shiv Gupta, Manoj Verma, Joginder Sharma and several other locals.
