The MLA inaugurated key road projects including the Koalu, Chaka. Rajua road in Garh Samnabanj and roads connecting Kaneter, Beral, Baba Nagain in Chore Panjian. Addressing the gathering, Pathania informed that a large number of PMGSY roads involving an outlay of about Rs 100 crore have already been taken up by the Department in Udhampur East, making it one of the constituencies with the highest PMGSY outlay.
He further announced that another major package worth Rs 500 crore under PMGSY Batch-II is in the pipeline. “Udhampur East is steadily moving towards becoming a model constituency in road connectivity, and these projects will ensure long-pending justice to far-flung and neglected areas,” he said.
