Patanjali organises ‘Yoga Olympiad Orientation and Training Programme’

HARIDWAR, Jan 31: Patanjali Research and Wellness Centre here organised a nine daylong event ‘Yoga Olympiad Orientation and Training Programme’ from January 22 to 30, 2026.
The programme was based on psychology, Yogdarshan and spirituality for internal peace.
Representatives from the Education Department of Sikkim Government participated in the programme and the main motive of this programme was development, equality and awareness of Yoga in rural areas.
The programme was held under the leadership of Acharya Balkrishan, who while speaking on the occasion said that Yoga is ancient India’s complete exercise for gaining physical, mental and spiritual strength.
He also said that the Yoga helps in giving peace to our mind for getting salvation and is also beneficial in controlling stress and leading a disciplined life.
Speaking on the occasion, Yogrishi Swami Ramdev threw light on naturopathy.
He said that naturopathy is a nature based therapy where ailments are cured without the use of drugs and this therapy activates the usual healing powers of human body.
“Naturopathy involves use of balanced diet, herbs, water, soil, performing Yoga exercises, breathing exercises, solar therapy, fasting and acupuncture,” Swami Ramdev maintained adding that for critical diseases, advice of some expert doctor is essential.
He felt that possibilities can be explored for jointly working of Patanjali and Sikkim Government.
The representatives of Sikkim Government also visited Parmarth Niketan, Gita Bhawan and joined Ganga Aarti.
They further visited Patanjali Goshala, Gurukulam, Acharyakulam, Herbal Garden and Research Centre.
Prominent among these representatives was Jamyang Bhutia. On the conclusion of the programme Acharya Balkrishan gave certificates along with shawls to these representatives.
Dr. Vinita, Dr. Vedpriya Arya, Dr. Vishal, Sorabh Nirmohi, Dr. Dipika and others were also present on the occasion.
