Parking mess in Seri Bazaar

BHADERWAH, Dec 4: Bhaderwah town, which is a natural tourist resort in district Doda has been neglected by the local administration in many aspects.
Its calm environment is a blessing and people get refreshed whenever they visit this beautiful place of the State. Seri Bazaar, the heart of Bhaderwah has its own importance in terms of commercial activities and its unique hustle-bustle. It is also the central place from where public transport is available to all the adjoining areas of the Bhaderwah.
But with every passing day, Seri Bazaar is losing its charm and importance due to the chaos created by parked private vehicles and the `unmanned’ public transport. With the purchasing power capacity of the people increasing day by day, there has been quantum jump of four wheelers and two wheelers for the last one decade. This has caused huge pressure on the available space in the town. The people park their vehicles unnecessarily in the Seri Bazaar from the early morning. This results in choking of Seri Bazaar ‘Adda’ throughout the day.
The situation gets worse in the morning and in the evening due to opening and closing of schools and offices. The helpless pedestrians find it difficult even to move. The situation is getting bad to worst day by day. The business community of the market and Seri Bazaar Bus Stand is also complaining due to loss in their business activities by this nuisance. The administration has turned a blind eye towards the public plight. The idle parking of private and commercial vehicles has added to the woes of general public. Even temporary Rehriwallas have established their permanent ‘khokhas’ in the Bus Stand shrinking the already less available space. The local police and MC authorities are least bothered about the congestion in the market. The traders have covered roads and footpaths and movement of the vehicles and movement of people has become difficult.
