JAMMU, Jan 14: The All J&K Shree Guru Ravidass Sabha (AJKSGRDS) has announced that the 649th Parkash Utsav of Sant Shiromani Shree Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj will be celebrated on 1st February 2026 at Krishna Nagar, Jammu.
Ahead of this, a grand Shoba Yatra (Nagar Kirtan) will be taken out on 28th January from Krishna Nagar Gurudwara at 11:00 AM, passing through various markets of Jammu city and culminating at Guru Ravidass Gurudwara, Bahufort, where Sri Sri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj will deliver socio-religious sermons.
The announcement was made during a well-attended press conference of the Sabha, chaired by its Convenor Er R C Bhasin. Prominent biradari members, and representatives of all the branch Sabhas, Satsang society and Sikanderpur Trust were present on the occasion.
It was also informed that a similar shoba yatra will also be taken out from R S Pura to Sikanderpur Trust headquarter on 18th Jan wherein, Sri Sri 108 Swami Gurdeep Guri ji Maharaj will participate. Additionally, on 1st Feb 2026 a grand function of Prakash Utsav will be organised at Krishna Nagar Gurudwara wherein, an open invitation has been extended to all.
As usual Prabhat Pheri has been started from the first week of Jan., 2026 and will culminate on 27th of Jan, at Bahufort Gurudwara in which hundreds of devotees will participate from the different localities.
Prof C L Shivgotra informed that new President & Secretary of the Sabha will be elected as per constitution of the Sabha at appropriate time through constituted election board without creating any divisions in the biradri.
Surjit Singh Heer requested to the local administration to make elaborate arrangements.
