SRINAGAR, Nov 4: Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings, Ch. Lal Singh today termed paramedics, especially pharmacists as backbone of the State’s health sector.
Interacting with a delegation of Government Pharmacist’s Association, which called on him here today, the Minister assured the delegation that all their grievances would be addressed on priority basis.
“You (Pharmacists) are backbone of the health sector and Government would address your demands,” Singh told the delegates.
The delegation appealed the Minister to look into their grievances.
The association appealed the Minister that there should be a provision for the promotion of junior pharmacists to the other senior positions or block or district pharmacy officer level positions in the Health Department. The association demanded that the Government should announce the inclusion of Pharmacists into the Pharmacy Council of Jammu and Kashmir, which according to them would streamline the health sector of the State.
The association also demanded that the Government should consider the RMP’s for the pharmacists of the department.
