“We are not here for sympathy, but to highlight the betrayal we continue to face,” he said, condemning the silence around the Hindu genocide in Kashmir.
Tito Ganju spoke about the genocide from an international law perspective.
He said Kashmiri Hindus are victims of a long-standing and systematic genocide.
Quoting the 2005 UN guidelines, he warned that forced reconciliation without acknowledging the crime adds to the injustice.
“Our silence has been misused for 35 years. Today, we speak out,” he declared.
Senior community leader Bhushan Lal Bhat reminded attendees that Panun Kashmir stands for justice, not compromise.
“We are a civilization denied its homeland. This is erasure, not just exile,” he said, demanding recognition of genocide and the creation of a homeland in Kashmir through international mechanisms.
Dr Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman of Panun Kashmir, traced the history of violence from the 1986 Anantnag riots to the present day.
Referring to the Pahalgam massacre, he said it was not an isolated incident but part of a continued campaign.
“Return without justice is a fraud,” he said.
Former DGP Dr SP Vaid shared details about Operation Sindoor and said the Pahalgam massacre happened due to lack of political will.
“It wasn’t a failure of intelligence, but of intent,” he stated.
The programme ended with a collective pledge to remember and resist, with the community vowing to carry forward the truth and demand justice for the genocide.
