JAMMU, Mar 27: Accusing BJP of using corrupt practices to woo the PDP to form the coalition once again, Panthers Party activists, led by JKNPP chairman Harsh Dev Singh staged a protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground Jammu.
Staging a dharna and shouting slogans, the protesting JKNPP activists were seeking inclusion of Jammu related issues in the CMP before formation of the State Government.
Expressing dismay over the political stalemate, which hovered over the State for two and a half months, Harsh Dev Singh lambasted the BJP for holding the Constitution as hostage for its political fortunes. He said that the suspension of the State Assembly for so long had stymied the political regimen and unconstitutionally divested the people of its popular Government without any reason.
Flabbergasted by Mehbooba’s change of heart for suddenly mellowing down after her initial inhibitions and reluctance to form the Government, Mr Singh questioned the BJP that what actually prompted both the parties to come closer to form the Government once again.
Reckoning that since the Saffron brigade had compromised with the national and regional interests to empower Kashmir oriented ‘Agenda of Alliance’, the JKNPP chairman cautioned the BJP to include all Jammu related issues in the CMP ahead of forming any kind of dispensation to fulfill the dreams of the Dogras. He said that rotational Chief Minister from Jammu, abrogation of Article 370, delimitation of Assembly constituencies to end the regional bias, AIIMS and Smart city for Jammu were the long cherished dreams of the people of Jammu region and any further deviation from these would only bring “doomsday” for the BJP.
Prominent among others, who spoke on the occasion, included Yash Pal Kundal, Bansi Lal Sharma, Rajesh Padgotra, Jagdev Singh, Gagan Pratap Singh, Shyam Gorkha, Chetan Sharma, Nirmal Kishore, Neeraj Gupta, Purshottam Parihar, Nirmal Kishore, Khajur Singh, Inderpal and Udayveer.
