Panels to review cases under Art 226 (2) of CSRs

JAMMU, Apr 5: Jammu and Kashmir Government today constituted three internal committees for reviewing and scrutinizing the cases of Higher Education Department employees under Article 226 (2) of the J&K CSRs.
Pertinently, Article 226 (2) of J&K Civil Services Regulations (CSRs) amended in October 2020, provides for retirement of an employee upon completion of 22 years of service or attaining 48 years of age in the “public interest”.
As per an order issued by Higher Education Department, a UT level committee constituted in this regard comprises Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department; Director Finance, Higher Education Department; Special Secretary/ Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department; Director Planning, Higher Education Department; Director Colleges, J&K, and Incharge Legal Section, Higher Education Department.
Meanwhile, the Kashmir and Jammu Division committees comprise Director Colleges, J&K; Nodal Principals, Kashmir/Jammu; Principals concerned, representatives of Administrative Department not below the rank of Under Secretary, and representatives of Finance Department and Higher Education Department.
