JAMMU, Mar 28: Chief Patron of All Jandiyal Sabha, Justice (Retired) K K Gupta, today announced the constitution of a three-member election commission to oversee the upcoming elections of the Sabha.
The panel will supervise the conduct of elections for the posts of president and general secretary. The election commission will be headed by Advocate Rattan Lal Gupta, former MLC and provincial president of NC. Advocate Ravi Kumar and Deputy SP Devender Gupta have been appointed as its members.
Justice Gupta stated that the elections are likely to be held in the last week of May, subject to completion of the Identity Card-cum-Voter Card process by April 30. The voter list, currently under preparation, will be notified by the Commission before announcing the final poll schedule.
