Srinagar, June 19: Pakistani troops today violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of North Kashmir, injuring a soldier.
Sources said that Pakistani troops violated ceasefire at around 9 am today at Lower Garh post in Uri sector where 20 Sikh regiment is posted. One soldier indentified as Sepoy Hiray Shriram of 867 AT Coy was injured. He was airlifted to 92 Base Hospital at Badami Bagh Cantonment.
Army said that Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the LoC to provide cover to the infiltrating militants. However, no infiltration was attempted in the area during ceasefire violations today.
